#AGU13 - Scientist flew hot on the heels of the NASA's DC-8 aircraft earlier this year, with instruments to sniff out how aircraft emissions from petroleum fuels differ from those of biofuels. What is the impact of near-ground emissions on pollution, or higher-altitude emissions on climate? 
Richard Moore, a post-doctoral fellow at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va., described early results of the Alternative Fuel Effects on Contrails and Cruise Emissions (ACCESS) experiment, in a poster presented this week at the fall meeting of the American Geophysical Union in San Francisco. 
The annual fall meeting of the AGU is a chance for more than 22,000 scientists, educators, and students to present their research, broaden their knowledge base and embrace the excitement of science.
