Vinho Verde (D.O.C), which should be understood to mean "young wine" is the perfect summer refresher.  Tongue tickling spritz, light and tangy yellow fruits and a dryish, saline-tinged finish. Octave is the perfect casual partner for your summer fun! It gives off a beautiful aroma of green apples and honeysuckle, but don't take our word for it, come in to Wine Art and find out. Octave Vinho Verde often has a slight carbonation to it, but not enough to be considered a sparkling wine. Octave is incredibly refreshing with crisp acidity that would taste great on a hot summer day; however, feel free to drink it year round!

To be considered a Vinho Verde, Octave is permitted to use Alvarinho (Albariño), Arinto, Avesso, Azal, Batoca, Loureiro and Trajadura grapes.

In all honesty, we don’t like to pair Vinho Verde with food. We think it’s a great wine to sip on the beach by itself. However, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t pair well with food! If you’re looking for some solid eats, the best choice would be fish throw it on the grill or pan-sear it with lemon and white wine sauce.
