Education seen as key to sales 

Greg Bender, Marketing Strategy Cloud Solution Specialist 

With extensive experience in the enterprise software space, Greg Bender has seen a lot. “I’ve had experience with practically every industry—from small companies to massive ones.” Much of that experience has been in the southeastern U.S. and, he is responsible for Calix Marketing Cloud sales in his home state of Georgia, where he sees a great need for it. “As far as what we offer, the state hasn’t been marketed to, very much.” Greg believes that education is a key component in marketing. He has seen its importance before, with companies resisting technology changes from on-premises solutions to off-site servers to the cloud. “People were very concerned about putting their information in the cloud. Now, everyone has embraced it. It’s so much easier to have the vendor responsible for the maintenance and upkeep.” Greg also explained what customers and clients are looking for in a software. “With smaller clients, we just have to show the return on investment. It's just getting out there, showing them the value, and getting deals done.”
