💫‘’One day, your life will flash before your eyes…Make sure it’s worth watching!’’ – is just one of the amazing messages we have had today from an amazing woman, a leader, a role-model and a president of the Bushtex Inc. Her name is Adelaida Severson and among a lot of titles, she has, her name and the name of her husband Barry is on the wall of the Humphrey Suite, the ‘newsroom’ that the Severson family gave to the Humphrey fellows to work and collaborate.

💫In the inspirational talk followed by Q&A,  fellows had a chance to introduce themselves and to listen to an amazing story this woman has to tell. ‘Being a woman in a male-dominated industry is tough. But femininity is what you have and men don’t. So use that. Use that power!’💥

🫂F-ilanthrophy is one of the F words, Adelaida finds important in her life and success. ‘’It doesn’t have to be your money. It can be your knowledge, talent, time, mentorship. If you give back to the community, the community will give back to you’’ – explains Adelaida, as she mentioned that F words in her life, are among F-ilantrophy, Faith, Fortitude, Family, and Failure. ‘’Because if you haven’t failed you haven’t made it.’’

🗣And we could talk forever about this exceptional woman who inspired us today, gave us life important lessons, and advised us about our future endeavors as Humphrey fellows in our home countries and with the capstones, we are all working on.
