Good news! Proposals have been submitted by India, the Philippines, and Bangladesh to prohibit international trade in smooth-coated and Asian small-clawed otters. These beautiful species are poached across Asia for their skins and for pet trade. Luckily, these proposals will be voted on at #CITES #COP18 in Sri Lanka this May, and hopefully action will be taken to protect otters! For more info, click the link in our bio.
