## Caption

Salmon fly hatch on the Colorado River. If you’ve never seen this before in person it’s something video can’t do justice. This hatch only happens once a year and can last a little over a week. Tens of thousands of these bugs leave the water after 3 years living in the creek. And on every stick and rock on the side of the river they leave their exoskeletons, mate and then die in only a few days.
