#Throwback to the San Diego Crew Classic Regatta last week! The March 31 through April 2 weekend featured 2,000-meter racing for rowers of all levels — juniors, masters, collegiate, and para-athletes — and a brunch by the bay, champions pavilion, and beer garden. Regarded as the inaugural regatta of the rowing season, the event attracted more than 4,000 athletes from around the world.

Fun fact: The FIRST San Diego Crew Classic occurred in Mission Bay 50 years ago, on April 7, 1973, and included 360 rowers from 12 schools.

Thanks to Hannah Broadland (hbroadla), Hope Wilkinson (bluegnomes), and the San Diego Crew Classic (crewclassic) for sharing these awesome photos!
