This week, we’re spotlighting the $17 million, 101,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Jenny Craig Pavilion at the University of San Diego campus.
 
The venue, which has a capacity of over 5,000, is not only used for the school’s intercollegiate sports and general recreation, but its 4,000-square-foot fitness center is home to a variety of classes, and the venue has hosted a number of other sports and entertainment events.
 
Major past events have included the 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2008 West Coast Conference Basketball Championships; the 2003 NFL Celebrity Basketball Game; the Official Super Bowl XXXVII Luncheon; the 2004 and 2013 first and second rounds of the NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament; music concerts such as Maroon 5; and guest speakers ranging from the Dalai Lama to Jane Goodall.
 
The arena was constructed with the university's architectural theme of the 16th century Spanish Renaissance and received major upgrades, including a redesigned floor and state-of-the-art video boards and LED sideline tables in 2015.
