“Singleness is not a limiting factor. Singleness is not a roadblock. Singleness is not holding you back. Singleness is not keeping you from the joy or beauty of life. You are.”

I have a few references in my book to my 24 years of singleness, this being one. As I’d think all Christians are, I’m a big advocate of running your race full-speed toward God, and if someone running the same pace or faster comes alongside and keeps running with you — amazing. Marry them. If not, keep running your race. Keep pursuing your dreams. Keep making memories. Keep making an impact on this world — single, dating, engaged, or married. I’m looking for a ministry partner in my husband, but that’s not to say I can’t start my ministry without him. 

Further down the page, I write this, “Do I wish I’d launched my podcast, written this book, gone on tour, spoken across the country, and launched my career with a man by my side? Yes. But is that going to stop me from going after my dreams? Nope. You’re reading this book, aren’t you?”

Don’t waste today waiting for tomorrow. Just do it. Write the book. Start the podcast. Travel the world. Serve the church. Get the job. Chase your dreams. One day someone will come alongside you. They won’t have missed out, they’ll just have some incredible stories to be caught up on 🩵
