Meet Rhonda Gray
Teaches Visual Culture at cch_official flashpointchicago & History at Tritoncollege & nationallouisu

Award winning visual artist Rhonda Gray began #painting after graduating from the northern_iowa in 2002 with a Bachelors degree in History Education and
later earned a Masters degree in History from Chicago State University. She employs #oils and #acrylics with #mixedmedia to explore the intersectionality of African diasporic identity, mysticism, cultural resistance. Her work can be seen in the featured film southsidewithyoumovie which chronicles BarackObama and MichelleObama’s first date. Rhonda's art has been exhibited in galleries and museums nationally and can be found in collections globally. She works as a Teaching Artist for columbiachi and Changing Worlds, teaching master classes. Rhonda also serves as Art Director for the Black Chicago History Museum and the South Merrill Community Garden.

Fun Fact: In 2018, Rhonda's paintings and writings were published in the academic book, Michelle Obama’s Impact on African American Women
and Girls. .
