Women entrepreneurs have a lot going for them. We are great at listening and learning. Not afraid to seek others' advice; excel at multi-tasking; and are better at work/life balance, both for ourselves and those we employ. We're also strategic and less rash. Than who though? Well, who do you think? Men, of course! 

BUT (there's always a but) according to author Rhonda Abrams there are a few things we could be better at...

🗣 Male entrepreneurs tend to be more confident about their capabilities, while women tend to downplay their accomplishments and strengths (imposter syndrome, anyone?). So make sure you focus on the experience and knowledge you have. Don't talk yourself out of pursuing something just because you feel you are lacking in one of the qualities being asked for.

🗣 Blow your own trumpet! Don't be afraid to promote yourself & give your expert knowledge when asked. You've worked hard to get where you are. Don't let a lack of self-belief stop you from tooting your own horn.

🗣 Don't undervalue yourself. When women set their own fees, they tend to make less money than men for the same work. A 2017 study by the accounting firm FreshBooks showed women freelancers made 28% less than their male counterparts. Go ahead, charge more!

🗣 Women tend to be more strategic while men tend to be quicker to action. Strategy is good but don't let that stop you from going for it - sometimes when you might not be completely ready. If you wait to get all your eggs in a row you might miss a good opportunity.

🗣 Many women like their business to have intrinsic value. We like to accomplish something important, that we generally have an emotional connection to but this can sometimes mean you're missing out on opportunities to make money. Some of the less glamourous jobs or niches that may be seen as boring can still be rewarding and successful. 

So there you have it. Five things to consider which can help grow your business.
