Show some love for your mutt - if you have one! It's National Mutt Day. This is mine. Our rescue, Barney, came to us from Romania via @smalldogrescuesussex 
Needless to say, we spend a lot of time trying to work out what mix of breeds he actually is!

He's a bit crazy, very strong-willed and still needs a lot of work in the training department. And clearly doesn't like the yellow triangles on his mat! These things take time, don't they? Though I must say, I do get jealous when I see all these perfectly behaved dogs trotting along next to their owners. My family always went in for the unwanted animals though - cats, dogs, rabbits, we gladly took them all in. 

National Mutt Day or National Mixed Breed Dog Day was created by America's leading Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert, Colleen Paige @homefamilypets to highlight the plight of our mixed breed friends that often end up unwanted and in shelters.
