Do prospective clients have to guess at what services you offer? Or is it plain to see? You only get a few seconds to pull in potential followers, so make sure your Instagram bio stands out.

A good Instagram bio explains what you do in a few short sentences or bullet points and helps to target your ideal audience.
Or it can focus on how you help or inspire your clients - make it more about them and what value you offer.

Think about how you can use the 150 characters in your Instagram bio to write copy that attracts prospective clients and customers.

The Name Field in your bio is completely separate from your username. It's a valuable (and rarely used!) SEO feature: you can customize it in your Instagram bio to reach even more people as they search the app. For example, my business name is my username and in my name field, I say what my actual name is along with my role. 

What keywords might your ideal customer search for on Instagram? Make them specific. If you're a travel agent, do you specialise in a certain area? If you're a wedding photographer, say so! Don't just put photographer.

Another tip, add a CTA - a call to action in that last line before your link. Does that link lead to a freebie, a way to work with you, a resource? Then let your audience know. And lastly, don't go mad with them, but a few emojis can help your bio stand out and add a bit of personality.
