Have you sat with it? Have you unpacked it all?

I remember when this quarantine began many months ago that I knew it was a sign. The universe needed us to slow down. The universe wanted us to pause, breathe and feel it all. There was no more running, no more “surface level only” living.

I knew it from the start and I was ready. Like beyond ready to look in the mirror and dig in. See what I could find and just release it all. If I did, things would be lighter, yeh?

It’s now many months later and a whole slew of rollercoasters have come + gone. Some really good highs, and countless lows (I’ve lost track of how many at this point). Anxiety at an all-time worst. It’s been heavier more so than it’s been lighter, simply put.
•
But I think I’m getting there. It’s a long process and it’s exhausting. But it’s so undoubtedly necessary. And I’ll get there, if by the end of 2020 that’s all I’ve accomplished then I’ll take it with open arms. Nothing could be worth more than coming home to myself after all that’s happened.

Did you take the hint to slow down?
•
Spending some time checking in with myself now to see just how far I’ve come and what I’ve yet to dig through. There will always be something, but I don’t ever want to run from it again. I need this to somehow become my damn year.

Big shout out to @findingxfletcher for reminding me, that while things have opened up a bit in NY and life has picked up a little speed - that doesn’t mean my digging is done. I’ll keep on it and unpack it all sis, if you promise to do so too.
