Words cannot express how proud I am. Soph has to work so hard. She is not blessed with the talent, speed, size and strength of her teammates but she works. And knows that she has to in order to be apart of this elite team. Just being a part of it makes her happy.
Another walkoff single, this time in the Championship Game today to end it by Mercy Rule 9-1. All the while knowing her Grandfather passed away and she said this morning “Grandpa would want me to play and all I want is to be around my teammates” 😢 the kid made me proud today to say that I am her father. I love you Sophia keep working. Big time players step up in big time games and you have proven that over the last two weeks. Keep the contact rate high and put the ball in play, good things will happen if your swinging at the right pitches.
