Book Soup is not your tucked-away, quaint bookstore. Situated on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, it is present— and has been since 1975— in the narrative of LA’s literary scene. With its labyrinth-like, black-painted shelves and troves of staff-approved novels, Book Soup has been the go-to for LA locals, visitors, and belletrist’s own co-founder, emmaroberts.

In fact, when Valentino and Emma Roberts’ belletrist came to collaborate for this project, Book Soup was one of the first names offered. There’s a real culture within the walls of Book Soup. A staff with diverse reading tastes, and a clientele eager to hear about hidden gems and the best books of the month.

For #ValentinoNarratives, Book Soup’s front windows have been taken over by the initial inspiration for the campaign, Donna Tartt’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, “The Goldfinch.” This weekend, Valentino followed along as emmaroberts shopped at the store in celebration of the collaboration.
