We’re going back to the 1950s on this Martinsville Monday!
🎞 October 28,1956: the start of the “Mixed 400”, the first race to feature NASCAR Cup and Convertible Division cars in the same event, called a “sweepstakes” race. Joe Eubanks (#82) takes the early lead from his outside pole position ahead of pole sitter Buck Baker (#00B). The race featured 40 cars, 21 hardtops, and 19 convertibles.
