You might have heard this word a hundred times, but what exactly is a concerto?

A concerto is a piece of classical music that features a soloist accompanied by an orchestra. Usually, the solo parts of a concerto are difficult and require much skill and practice. 

Our Masterworks Series features a bunch of concertos and amazing soloists on different instruments, including our Masterworks 1: Fantastique! Pianist Natasha Paremski will be playing Piano Concerto No. 5 by Beethoven.
