So, how can couples keep the love alive throughout a stressful TTC process? Here are four tips that can help!

Enjoy togetherness - it’s important to think of the TTC process not as a “task” or problem to be solved, but as a continuation of your journey as a couple.

Don’t let babymaking overshadow everything else - its easy to focus on all things TTC that all other aspects of your life fade away. To help prevent this, continue to engage in creative activities that make you happy. While this helps to reduce stress it also helps prevent feelings of isolation.

Keep the romantic connection alive - If you find yourself feeling burnt out, work to rekindle that flame and remind your self why you were attracted to your partner in the first place. Go on a romantic getaway, have regular date nights, surprise each other with gifts that have no connection to your TTC process.

Seek professional help -  If you feel like your TTC journey is taking a true toll on your relationship, there is no shame in seeking professional help from a couple’s counselor. This can help provide you with a safe space for you and your partner to see each other’s perspective and deepen your connection.
