Makena quickly stood out for her unique writing style and voice, and was asked to join the world class house band in 2021, where she’s sung backup vocals for acts including Lainey Wilson, Karen Fairchild, Randy Travis, and countless others!

Being a core member of the Pitch Meeting band, she performed her original songs at venues the group played such as the Brooklyn Bowl and the Bonnaroo festival. 

Makena earned the nickname “Songbird of Nashville” around town, due to her soaring melodies, feminine essence, and her storytelling and vocal power!
