This Sunday, let us all take a moment to reflect on the wisdom of Shirley Chisolm. 

Chisolm was an American politician, educator, and civil rights activist who served as a Congresswoman from New York. She was the first African American woman elected to Congress, and she ran for president in 1972. In her lifetime, she fought tirelessly for the rights of women and minorities. 

One of her most famous quotes is "service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth." With these words, she reminds us that we all have a responsibility to give back to our communities.
