I am a proud Mexican-American who is a first-generation college student at Elon University. I hope to enlighten my community about the immigrant experience through my involvement with the student-led organization, Immigrant Realities, and my undergraduate research. The research seeks to understand the business models of U.S immigration detention centers and the overall well-being of immigrants while in detention. I aspire to one day give back to my Latinx community, defend human and immigrant rights at the national and state level. Together we are stronger.
