We've all been there, chasing an Eastern mole (Scalopus aquaticus) halfway down Peters Mountain, trying to keep up and get some video through green briers and blackberry brambles.⁣

Kristy and I were hiking today when we spotted this little guy tumbling down the trail. I guess he left his underground home quite abruptly and was trying to find his way back.⁣
