NASA’s #JamesWebbTelescope has completed a critical mirror alignment.🎇

This brilliant image of star 2MASS J17554042+6551277 is just a test of what’s to come for the world’s premiere space science observatory.

The purpose of this image was to focus on the bright star in the center but Webb’s hardware is so sensitive that the appearance of other galaxies and stars were picked up in the background.

The alignment procedures are on track to conclude by early May.
