“Rare image of a shark stepping on a lego,” is often the meme caption associated with this now iconic shark photo taken by mikecoots. 🦈Here’s more of the backstory directly from Mike himself: “I was fortunate to capture this behavior of a white shark in New Zealand doing what is called “spy-hoping”. It has been featured in a few comedic memes, and I love that. Using humor to personify what could be looked at as a scary "teethy" image, helps calm the myth sharks are these mindless, heartless, indiscriminate killers. I think if we can see a little reflection of ourselves in something we really don't understand, it implores us to learn more and dig deeper.
