#AroundTheWorldIn8 Though often associated with the now infamous Mayan Doomsday of 2012, the Mayan culture is full of rich cultural history and signficance to not only the Mesoamerican region, but the world. Their astronomy was some of the most accurate pre-telescopic in the world and their architecture remains iconic and influential to this day. Pictured here is the Temple of the Sun in Palenque, Mexico.
