By sponsoring through Dove, you are not only helping educate and feed a child and their family, you are empowering them to break generational cycles of poverty for themselves, their families, and the greater community. 
Dove's Youth Development Center is a "safe haven" for children, providing an opportunity to learn, laugh and share a positive experience in a safe environment. Without participation in the Center, many of these children, as young as 7, would be forced into prostitution, drug dealing or other illegal activities in order to help financially support their families.

In order to be eligible for a sponsor, these children have demonstrated their desire to be agents of change in their own lives by: keeping regular attendance at school and actively participating in the center’s programing for at least 3 consecutive months. Parents also volunteer a minimum of 1 hour per week at Dove, helping with food prep, cleaning, and other duties.

NOTE: You may specifically request one of the children you read about below. If you don’t have preference, the next child on the waiting list will be chosen, and you will be notified via email and furnished with a picture, information about your child and how to interact with them. #puertoplatacity  #youth #sponsor
