For today’s #SpotlightSaturday, we are so excited to highlight Trevor Lear, a member of the Old Masters and Rising Professionals Central Committees in 2016!

Trevor’s most valuable takeaways from his involvement with the programs revolved around failure.

 “Every program I was involved in had Old Masters and Rising Professionals that shared stories about times when they either: 1.Feared failure as they took different steps throughout their careers or 2.Experienced failure firsthand and learned to embrace and grow from it. For failure being a topic that’s not often celebrated, to hear people who were once in your shoes sharing how they learned to adapt to it on their way to extraordinary accomplishments is both refreshing and inspiring.”

Trevor’s time at Purdue helped him to discover his passions through the diverse opportunities the University has to offer. He currently works as a Senior Engineer in Product Engineering at Stryker, where he designs and develops state-of-the-art medical devices. He also started and now runs Lear Creative, LLC, a photography/videography business that specializes in commercial, travel, portrait, and wedding work.
