Amp up for Wattage Wednesday!! ⚛️💡

The Neckarwestheim 2 nuclear power plant is located in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and was one of the country's most modern and efficient nuclear facilities. This reactor, the second of two at the plant, began commercial operation in 1989 with a net electrical output of around 1,400 MWe and provided rock solid low carbon power until it was prematurely shut down in April of 2023. Its pressurized water reactor (PWR) design is considered to be among the best in the world. Though Germany's phase out of nuclear power caused this clean reliable source of energy to be shut down, restart of Neckarwestheim 2 has been a subject of discussion due to its high performance and contributions to grid stability.
