A glimpse into the 22 hours of meticulous grooming that is dedicated to preparing our Wolf’s Fang runway for incoming flights from Cape Town. 

Blue ice runways demand special attention, particularly with a hefty A340 aircraft coming in to land. Our kaessbohrer PistenBully applies a corduroy-like effect that enhances grip for the aircraft’s wheels. 

These specialised machines are an essential component of our operations on ice.
