Born in Elche, Spain, Elina Rubio Pentcheva received early instruction on the violin from her violinist mother, Tania Pentcheva Boneva. At a very young age Elina began playing concerts in Spain, Bulgaria and Germany and during her elementary years won many international competitions.  Elina has been a featured soloist with many orchestras all over the world and has continued to win many international competitions.

Following completion of a Master of Music degree at DePaul University (Chicago), Elina moved to Bloomington (IN), where she completed both an Artist Diploma and a Performance Diploma at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

Elina was appointed Concertmaster of the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra in 2021 and also served as concertmaster or associate concertmaster with several regional orchestras. In the summer of 2023 Elina was offered a section position with the prestigious Minnesota Orchestra. Elina plays a J.B. Vuillaume (1862) generously loaned to her by Mrs. and Mr. Uhlmann of Switzerland.

When not playing her violin, Elina enjoys teaching Pilates as a certified Instructor at "Minnesota Yoga" Studio. She loves going on long walks with her dog, an Australian Shepherd named Eevee. Elina speaks Bulgarian, French, German, English, and Spanish. One of her favorite activities consists of exploring new cities she travels to by going on long runs. She is always ready for a good hike or any outdoor activity!
