We’re back with another edition of #43GreenFriday! This week we introduce you to Valerie, Accounting Supervisor here at Habitat!

Val has been with Habitat for many years supporting the Community Development and Property Management groups. She has always enjoyed getting involved in the construction financing, and #43Green has been an exciting development to work on!

A fun fact about Val’s time at Habitat is that she actually worked with Valerie Jarrett when she, too, worked at Habitat!

When Val isn’t working within the financial realm, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves to arrange family get-togethers! She especially enjoys spending time with her husband, Don, a retired band director and avid White Sox and Bulls fan!

Val’s entire family is musical, and these family get-togethers include musical instruments played by most of the family! Val herself is a professional clarinetist, and she enjoys playing in different groups around the Chicago area – how cool is that? She even works as a clarinet teacher for high school students in the area!

As a travel lover, Val particularly enjoys going to Seattle to see her son, Kevin, where he works as a designer for Hewlett Packard. Among her travels to see family in other areas, Val loves visiting San Diego, Northern Wisconsin, New Jersey, Denver, and Atlanta!

We’re so happy to have Val and all her musical wonder on the 43 Green and Habitat teams!
