Andre Lomedico, class of 2023 and Life Scout of Troop 620 in Hacienda Heights, raised $4,543.88 and completed his Eagle Project.  Alongside him were seven Friars from the classes of 2023, 2024 and 2021 (2 Eagle Scouts). Of the 663 Volunteer hours needed to complete the project, 186.5 hours were performed by Servite Friars.  Their support proves the brotherhood formed at Servite H.S.
 
The project involved landscaping and building benches for Nehemiah House, a home  operated by Nehemiah Project LA (www.nehemiahprojectla.org), a non-profit focused on helping foster youth.  The Nehemiah House offers transitional housing to foster youth who have aged out of the system. Andre’s Eagle Project offers a place for the foster young adults to rest and socialize in a safe space of their own. Whittier Mayor (and Eagle Scout), Joe Vinatieri came to congratulate Andre on his work in the community on the work day of the project as well.
