_wisefab_ compression style toe rod did it’s job in this contact. When the contact happened it didn’t affect the car too much. I was able to continue my run on the same line I was on with confidence. The arm is a two piece design using a compression joint (think of it like a shower rod). Drifting is a contact sport and suspension components are usually the ones that suffer the most. Drift cars have to be serviceable fast and this new design taking the grunt saves a ton of time when compared to the older design. Usually a hard rear wheel hit like this would result in damage to the rear knuckle which (if you’ve ever replaced one) is not a 5 minute fix. The toe arm being the weak/give point here is a big advantage and can be replaced with ease and get you back to the line. Cool innovation and forward steps with drift car design.
