Growing up in the industry, #KatherineHeigl was told her body was "one of the most important things" about her. She spoke with us about how #Hollywood's superficiality led to years of negative self-perception. ⁠

She recently rewatched #TheUglyTruth, where she starred alongside #GerardButler, and recalls being upset with her appearance during the movie's 2009 release. Over a decade later, Heigl questions what her younger self was thinking: "You were healthy, you were fit, you were trim, you were thin. How thin did you want to be?" She says the reflection has been "really eye-opening," but recognizes that it's "still really hard for me to stop" the cycle of negative self-talk.⁠

Heigl has since learned to ask herself how she's feeling in her body and focus on her health rather than her appearance.⁠
