According to Business of Fashion, #LVMH is in discussions with #TikTok on a plan to limit counterfeit products being sold on the app 👀

TikTok Shop allows users and brands to sell products attached to their videos. Third-party sellers can list products they didn’t make, sometimes at lower prices, which can raise questions surrounding authenticity. Users have found that if you misspell a brand, like “Luis Vuitton” instead of “Louis Vuitton”, “pre-owned” bags appear on TikTok’s shopping platform 🤦‍♀️

The goal is to work together to achieve an “elevated shopping experience”, while also combating fake items being sold.
