For Duck fans this was the worst moment of the game and also the best. To me this play was the defining moment of the Oregon Vs Washington state game as well as the Oregon Ducks season so far. Allow me to explain. The last image is actually the first frame I took of this play. I was set up perfectly and literally saw the interception coming. Well the ref also thought I had the perfect view and jumped in front of me while I pressed the shutter. Usually when that happens I would give up on the play. Not this time, I was set up on the corner of the end zone and decided to jump over a couple of photographers and find an open spot in the back of the end zone. From there I had a decent vantage point to capture the moments after the interception. Bo just missed the tackle and was obviously upset after the play. What I saw unfolding is one of the reasons why I love sports so much. I watched this group of young men come together as a team in that moment in time. mase_funa47 deserves the credit from what I could see. He saw the potential for Bo to loose his focus and not be able to perform at his best. Mase went to his guys and rallied them to Bo’s side. I could literally feel the energy in that huddle, nobody had to tell them to do it, they just did what needed to be done. Leaders pick others up when they need it and these young men stepped up and lead when they’re leader needed them. This was the moment the team needed. They came together and we’re able to overcome adversity and pull of an incredible win. I still get goose bumps thinking about it. Don’t ever give up! 🦆🏈🔥
