I found a box full of my old articles (I was a sports reporter before becoming a sports photographer) and came across one of my favorite human interest pieces; an article on AAGPBL greats Joanne McComb and Sarah Jane Ferguson. If you're unfamiliar with the league, think back to the movie "A League of Their Own" and that was baseball during WWII. McComb played for the Springfield Sallies and Ferguson for the Rockford Peaches. I know some would be shocked to hear this is one of my favorite interviews I've ever done considering who I've been blessed to work alongside, but they had no idea what kind of impact they'd have on women's sports and it was just a special afternoon hearing all the stories they had to tell #aagpbl #baseball #womeninsports
