Maroon 5 entered the scene with their classic track “This Love,” the second single from their debut album ‘Songs About Jane.’ 

In an interview with @MTV in 2002, the band described how Levine wrote the track right after a break up. “We need to get Adam back in a dysfunctional relationship pronto,” keyboardist Jesse Carmichael joked. “His lyrics hit me hard. I got the chills sometimes in the studio.”
