## Caption

Glen Murakami originally wanted to be a comic book artist. He had a friend in working on Batman: The Animated Series who recommended he apply to work for Warner Bros. Animation. Murakami in applying, failed a storyboard test but was hired anyway due to his drawing talent. Over time he worked on some DC superhero animated shows before producing the well known 2003 Teen Titans animated series, also being a character designer. His unique style of western cartooning with overseas influence was iconic, dubbed Murakanime or "Americanime". He is also known for being an executive producer for Ben 10: Alien Force, no doubt his unique style shining through on that project as well! Animation by Zach. #AAPIhistorymonth #UMBCart #UMBC
