## Caption

This past summer, Junior Integrated Media and Film student Maria Gian wrote and directed the film “Purgatory Drive” for Ohio Universities Ohio in LA program. 
 
“My experience was amazing. It was definitely one of the most rewarding and fun experiences of my life. A screenplay that I wrote was chosen to be made there and I also had the opportunity to direct it- it was a huge learning experience and gave me a taste of the filmmaking process in the real world. I also had an internship that allowed me to make a lot of personal connections of working professionals in the film industry in LA.”
