#wlsfeb17photochallenge Day 4: Why I'm Doing This. I assume this is supposed to be about why I had the surgery. I had surgery because I felt like absolute shit at 380+ pounds, but I loved my body just how it was. I didn't want to have the surgery because I didn't want to undo years of work I did to become body positive. It's been weird. And why do I post about it on Instagram and Facebook and write about it and talk about it constantly? Because there's a ridiculous stigma against weight loss surgery and I'm doing everything I can to change that.
