Today in #USOpenCup history (April 23, 1933): Stix Baer & Fuller (#StLouis) win the National Challenge Cup, edging the New York Americans 2-1 in the second leg of the Final at Starlight Park in the #Bronx. With the win, they lifted the trophy 3-1 on aggregate. Willie McLean & future SoccerHOF inductee Werner Nilsen both scored. Both players would later represent the #USMNT at the 1934 #FIFA #WorldCup.⁠
