Today in #USOpenCup history (July 8, 2008): Bryan Namoff's 99th minute goal gave dcunited a 2-1 win over ChicagoFire but the headline of the match was Mexican legend Cuauhtemoc Blanco getting sent off for punching ClydeSimms19, which led to further attacks on Simms and head butting a #DCU team official. Blanco was suspended for two years (or six games) and fined $7,500 for “behavior detrimental to the public image and reputation of the League.”
