Today in #USOpenCup history (July 3, 1983): For the 1st time, #Houston hosted the US Open Cup Final where the #NewYork Pancyprian Freedoms beat Kutis SC (#StLouis) 4-3 in OT to win their second straight title (3rd overall).

#HTown wouldn't host the Final again until the HoustonDynamo won the title in 2018.
