Today in #USOpenCup history (June 14, 1995): The "Modern Era" begins! For the 1st time in since the original #NASL began in 1967, teams from a top pro US league entered the US Open Cup. Four teams from the A-League, the #Atlanta Ruckus, the #Colorado Foxes, the #NewYork Centaurs & the #Seattle #Sounders defeated their USISL (pro) & USASA (amateur) opposition.

Despite playing 75 minutes with 10 men, the Centaurs defeated the Connecticut Wolves (USISL Pro, Div. 3) 3-0 with a goal from future #USMNT defender Carlos Llamosa. (RESEARCH HELP: We are missing the referee crew who worked this match)

Atlanta Ruckus beat the Tampa Bay Cyclones (USISL Pro, DIv. 3) 4-2. Brian Moore scored a pair of goals and Bruce Murray added a goal and an assist. (RESEARCH HELP: We are missing a couple players from Tampa Bay's starting lineup, the booking summary, game stats, and the referees)

At Haws Field at #BYU, the Colorado Foxes cruised to a 6-1 win over Utah-based amateur side Flamengo SC. Jeff Hooker led the way with a hat trick. (RESEARCH HELP: Missing both teams' starting lineups, booking summary, game stats, refs,
In their USOC debut, the Seattle Sounders rolled past the USISL Pro League's Everett BigFoot 9-2 (pictured). Shawn Medved had a hat-trick & five other players scored as well. There was also a special moment as James Dunn scored his first professional goal. To add to the moment, it was assisted by his brother Jason. (RESEARCH HELP: Need to confirm the starting lineups for both teams, booking summary, game stats and refs)
