Today in #USOpenCup history (May 28, 1983): Maccabee AC (#LosAngeles) lost to Greek American AC (#SanFrancisco) 2-0 in the Round of 16 putting an end to one of the greatest 10-year runs in US #Soccer history. They would never play another US Open Cup game and would finish with a record-tying five USOC titles. Only the Bethlehem Steel and Fall River Marksmen/New Bedford Whalers have lifted the trophy five times.
