Ecstatic to welcome 2 transfers to our squad for this coming fall, joining our 6 freshmen and making a total of 8 newcomers for our 2020 recruiting class.
.
First up is Josue Assantha, an incoming Sophomore transferring from Keene State College, where he started 2 of his 16 games played, scored 1 goal and tallied 1 assist for 3 total points during his freshman campaign. Originally born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Josue is a 2019 graduate of nearby Manchester Central High School where he was a 3 year varsity starter, team captain and 1st team All-State his Senior year, and a 2x NHIAA Division I State Runner-Up. Josue played his club ball for GPS NH. He is a versatile attacking player who can play multiple positions and will provide speed, strength, finishing ability, and depth for us in the attacking third.
.
Our second transfer is Michael Fortin, an incoming Junior relocating from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine where he played in 24 games across the last 2 seasons. Another local product, Mike is a 2018 graduate of Goffstown High School, where he spent 4 years on the varsity soccer team, played in over 70 games, served as team captain as a Senior, and led his team to 3 Final Four appearances, including an NHIAA Division II State Championship during his Junior season. Mike will provide depth at the outside back position as well as significant college soccer experience and a much-needed left foot for our team.
.
Welcome to the team, lads! Can’t wait to get to work! #ProtectTheNest #ANewStandard
