HM & The Duke boarded the Wooden Spoon boat, which led a flotilla along Scotland's newest stretch of canal - the Queen Elizabeth II Canal. 
Inspiration for The Kelpies came from the horses which pulled boats along the towpaths of the Forth & Clyde & Union Canals.
