Did you know that today is #WorldSickleCellDay? Sickle cell anemia is a painful genetic blood disorder. Thankfully, a bone marrow transplant offers a complete cure to sickle cell anemia. However, many sickle cell disease patients can not find a matching donor because African Americans only make up 7% of the donor registry. By growing diversity on the donor registry, we are giving every patient in-need an equal chance to find their miracle match.
